Well. That didn't go according to plan!

Hey everyone! It's been a minute. And my life has been a bit of a rollercoaster, so thanks for your patience as the website utterly failed to materialize as promised.

So that "much needed vacation" I mentioned in my last post (September 2022) -- that was a disaster involving messy logistics, COVID, and a hurricane. And then we rolled into holidays, and then recovery from all of that, and then an arsonist burned our (under-construction) house down, and we did a total 180 on our life plan for the next 20 years, and long story short, the USR alumni website has not really been my highest priority.

Sadly, that is still true, and I'm looking at the not-insignificant cost of renewing the hosting plan and will need to decide if this is the best way to do this. Don't worry, the site isn't going anywhere; it just may look a little different if I re-create it in a different platform. Or I may decide that it's actually cheaper (if time is money) to just pay the renewal and figure it out later.

In any case I thought I'd at least remind you all that the site is still here, that your community of alumni is still here, and that, what with me moving to Chicago and all, the dream of another reunion is more alive than ever.

(I do need to take a look at the membership list and see if any of the people who've signed up over the past year are actually real USR alumni or if they're all spiders and robots.)

Hope you are all well - drop a line in the forums and let us know how you're doing!
